Terms of Service

1. The service

Stockrise is a software-as-a-service product that connects to your Shopify store and (optionally) connected ad platforms to provide demand forecasts, reorder alerts, launch tracking, returns analysis, and marketing ROI reporting. The Service is provided “as-is”, and the specific features, accuracy of forecasts, and data refresh cadence may evolve over time.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must own or be authorised to administer the Shopify store on which you install Stockrise. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for safeguarding the credentials of every user account created in your Stockrise dashboard.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying models of the Service.
• Use the Service to violate any applicable law, infringe third-party rights, or store or transmit content that is illegal or harmful.
• Attempt to access data belonging to other Stockrise tenants or to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service.
• Resell, sublicense, or expose the Service or its outputs to any unrelated third party without our written consent.

4. Billing & Shopify charges

Stockrise is billed through the Shopify Billing API. Subscription fees, trial periods, and any usage-based charges are presented to you at the time of installation and again whenever a plan change occurs. Charges are recurring (typically monthly) and will continue until you uninstall the app or downgrade your plan from inside the Stockrise dashboard.

Refunds are governed by Shopify's billing terms. We do not collect or store payment-card information directly — all billing flows are handled by Shopify.

5. Data handling

Our handling of merchant data is described in detail in our Privacy Policy. In summary: we collect only what is needed to operate the Service, we store it in a managed PostgreSQL database, we do not sell or share it, and uninstalling the app triggers deletion within 30 days. You retain ownership of your data at all times.

6. Forecast accuracy & merchant judgment

Stockrise forecasts and reorder recommendations are statistical estimates based on the data available to the Service. They are decision-support tools, not guarantees. Final purchasing, pricing, and merchandising decisions remain the merchant's responsibility.

7. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance, third-party outages (Shopify, Google Ads, Meta), or unforeseen incidents may temporarily limit access. We will not be liable for damages arising from such interruptions beyond what is required by applicable law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stockrise will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or remain unpaid after repeated billing failures. On termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the Stockrise dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
